Poker Rewards Review
Does not accept new players

Poker Rewards is an out-of-date site which is no longer open and does not accept new players. The download for the software no longer works and Poker Rewards are renowned spammers.

Those wanting to play on the MPN network should stay away from Poker Rewards and check out one of the many legitimate sites out there.

About Poker Rewards

If you want the quick review – stay away from Poker Rewards. This is an out of date site which is no longer open. Instead just skip to the bottom to find out what quality sites operate on MPN.

The Poker Rewards Website

When you arrive at the website you see a page that looks like it was created at the dawn of the internet. On researching the site I found a video showing a review and it looked exactly the same in 2008, and the reviewer noted how cheap it looked even then. Anyone can do a better job today with a simple blogging site.

The page has its title, ‘Poker Reward$’ displayed at the top, along with the tempting dollar sign and a red “As Seen on TV” sticker in the right hand corner. The links that will take you off the page cover some standard, simplistic topics such as ‘download’, ‘poker school’ and ‘help’.

Below this are links allowing you to download the free software and offering a free poker e-book. The main banner is one displaying the current number of players currently on MicroGaming’s network. There is an image showing an online poker table, again asking you to download the software. You would be forgiven for wondering why the image of the table looked completely different to any other MPN site. This is because it is an image from a decade ago when MPN went by the name of Prima Poker. The rest of the page is an advert for the poker site, with out of date information from a similar time.

Poker Reward’s Software Download Unavailable

Poker Rewards promises to offer a 50% match bonus up to $200, although this was the same offer it had in 2008. By looking under the promotions tab it promises 10% rakeback, again because this is low by today’s standards, there is strong suspicion this has been left too.

Despite this I attempted to download the software, not really sure what to expect but ensuring my virus protection software was turned on. Even though the site has three links on the sites to download the software unsurprisingly none of them worked, so I emailed support on the off-chance of a reply and continued to explore.

Poker Rewards Link with Casino Rewards

On the About Us page the site claims to be connected to Casino Rewards. This site is in a similar poor condition and lists many casino sites in several different languages. By looking to find out more of who was behind these sites I looked in their press release section and saw a number of big winner stories going back no further than 2012.

I did find the newsletters were up to date, having been added to weekly and monthly. When I looked further I saw these were little more than unfilled out generic customer update templates provided by MicroGaming so sites could keep their customer informed on new games. This was obviously updating automatically.

Poker Rewards and Casino Rewards Are Known Spammers

Ultimately these sites are dead and by searching them quickly in the forums you can see many complaints about Casino Rewards sending out spam. The last incidents of these were around 2012, which is when the site stopped updating the press releases, so it can be assumed it has now shut down completely.

On Poker Rewards, there are links to a poker ebook. Please just ignore them, even if they do legitimately sending you the free ebook you will be on the mailing list and I would expect the content to be very dated at least.

Someone must still work there however, as Support did email back informing me the site no longer accepts new players.

Better Choices for MPN

If you want to play on the MPN network you should check out one of the many legitimate sites out there who have invested hard work and money into directing traffic to their sites. Many of these have great promotions and generous sign up bonuses.

32Red offer a bonus up to $1000 when you join the site, which you have 60 days to clear. Red Star Poker awards their players with exclusive rake races, rewarding them with cash prizes the more they play, and a lottery which any Red Star player is entered in as long as they play at a real money table that month.

In addition to these exclusive offers all these sites give their players 30% cash back. By accumulating loyalty points as you play, these can then be converted into cash or tournament fees.

Both of these sites have an excellent reputation within the poker community and are excellent choices for new or existing players.
